The Second in the series of travel to edge of space…overview effect and issues still remain…

Most of us might have watched Jeff Bezos Blue Origin’s New Shepherd Flight (on Amazon Prime video). Though it was a trite shrill, more about the thrill than the (immense) skills that have gone into it, and then realized at the end that there was also a tickets sales pitch! (No offense meant). Nevertheless very few words to describe such a historic milestone in (edge of) space travel.  The precision vertical landings of both the booster rocket and the capsule were amazing – an understatement.

But one strange irony also struck me looking at all the awe that all space travellers have experienced while looking at Earth from Space.  Do we have to go so far far out to see the beauty, the vulnerability in a cosmic -dimension sense of this Planet, struggling to nurture so many lives…should we not treat it with more care and respect?  Hidden in plain sight…the tragedy of our times.
